Psalm 1

I shared this, or something a little like this ( I can't actually remember what I said!) at our Informal service the other week...
When I started uni, I was scared and I was so unmotivated to do any work. We prayed about it at TnT, I asked a lot of people to pray about it and I prayed a lot about it too. To start with it seemed as though God was nowhere and wasn't doing anything, but sure enough, he showed up and started doing his thing. I was given a word from Psalm 1 at TnT one week and it really hit hard. It was about being rooted in God. I sat and thought to myself 'how hard do I try to root myself in God?', 'not very' were my thoughts back from that question. I really felt God was telling me to trust him more, have faith in him and just really root myself in him.
I've had moments, but I've really tried to root myself in him. Wow what a difference it's made - God is amazing! I've been motivated and just felt so encouraged - He's been so good, and I just wanna praise Him for doing His thing in my life!
