Midnight

The Cross
Throughout the midnight service I kept looking to the church roof - something was drawing me up there, everywhere I looked, I could make out cross shapes, every song I sang in my head was about the cross and everything Richard preached, I managed to relay back to the cross. Ok, Jesus was born at Christmas, but without Him dying for us, His birth could have been insignificant. It's through Jesus' blood, when He was crucified on THE CROSS that we are set free from sin.
God sees
I was also reminded of something that was said to me a while back, which at the time seemed so insignificant - 'God sees what you're doing and He'll reward you for it in heaven'. At the beginning on the month I had a bit of a bee in my bonnet about our school prize giving - I didn't win anything and Mum thought I should have done and to be honest, so did I. Anyway, now I can see - material things don't matter, who cares whether anyone won any prizes?! God doesn't! God saw how I worked, He saw how I contributed to school life and He'll deal with it! He sees everything and if no-one notices, it doesn't matter coz He sees all and that's all we need to worry about!
